10 steps to start loving yourself, NOW.

There are many steps to take to start loving yourself. Here I am gently sharing some steps to take to start the process openly and consciously. In this process you are choosing to heal what no longer serves you and learning to listen to your Higher Self, which is in turn helping the world do the same. Choosing to love yourself is the greatest gift you can give to you, your kids, your family, your partners, and the world!


I would like to also remind you that you do love yourself, you just have forgotten how because of social and cultural conditioning, belief systems, trauma, abuse, and many other influences...But there is HOPE! Here are some great tips to start the process of remembering the WHOLENESS and LOVE that you already encompass.


Step 1: MAKING THE CHOICE. The first step is actually recognizing that you are not someone that has practiced self-love in their life. You are recognizing that you have had poor boundaries, are suffering from illness, depression, self loathing, judgement, poor self image, unfulfilling relationships and are not feeling at peace in your life. Experiencing these can make someone want to change and make changes in their life to free themselves of these thoughts, experiences, and relationships. Choosing YOU is the first step, choosing to learn tools and techniques to help you is taking a giant leap into a living a beautiful and abundant life that you desire!


MANTRA: I CHOOSE TO LOVE MYSELF IN EACH MOMENT


Step 2: LISTEN. Listen to the thoughts that are not loving thoughts and practice in each moment changing them to a more loving and compassionate voice. Practice speaking to yourself the way you would speak to someone you love deeply.

MANTRA: I CHOOSE LOVING AND KIND THOUGHTS THAT HONOR MY HIGHEST VIBRATION


Step 3: PATIENCE. Be patient with the changes that are going to take time. Starting the process of truly opening to loving yourself also opens up some unresolved and uncomfortable feelings. Remember that this is part of the process, discomfort is showing us where we need to change and let go. Be patient with yourself whenever the discomfort arises and know that it will only get easier.

Step 4: HEART BREATHING. Tuning into your heart has a profound impact on our energy field. Our heart frequency is more powerful than any other energetic frequency we have in our bodies. After taking 6 deep breaths breathing into your heart can transform your frequency and energy within minutes. By practicing this breathing technique you are showing up for YOU! You are choosing to love that heart

Step 5: HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHOICES. Our bodies are beautiful vessels helping us live this beautiful life. In order to really start loving yourself and the body you incarnated into, its important to have a healthy and clean lifestyle. There are many changes that can be made in this area of your life. The best way to start is by making healthy food choices that feed your body the beautiful fuel that it needs to survive. Doing exercise that resonates with your body and goals. Step 6: SELF CARE. Taking time to love your body and doing something for yourself is VERY important for starting and continuing the process of loving yourself. What makes you really excited to think about doing for yourself that you don't normally do? Get your hair done the way you want? Get monthly or weekly massages? Get your nails done? Buy yourself that outfit that makes you feel fabulous? Whatever lights you up and makes you feel good, invest in yourself, I promise you wont be disappointed in the process. Its the best way to love your body, mind, and spirit.


MANTRA: I AM IN CHARGE OF HOW I FEEL TODAY. I CHOOSE TO FUEL MY BODY WITH NOURISHING FOODS, THOUGHTS, AND MOVEMENT.


Step 7: LAUGH. Laughter is the true medicine for healing a your heart. Think of a time, an experience a person that makes you laugh or a time when you made someone else laugh and remember that feeling. Start to laugh at yourself more, without taking yourself so seriously. When you are feeling really down, put on a good comedian, a favorite comedy movie, go to a laughing yoga class, or simply surround yourself with someone that makes you genuinely smile! Look at yourself in the mirror and give yourself a HUGE smile of gratitude for making the effort toward loving yourself a little more each day. Laughter reminds us that life is fun and meant to be enjoyed!


MANTRA: I LOVE TO LAUGH


Step 8: JOY. Write down on a piece of paper 20 things that make you feel true, pure joy. It can be as simple as feeling the hot sun on your face, watching your kids play together, lovingly and joyfully, the birds, the grass, the snow falling, the mountains, anything that you do in your life where you feel an instant rise in your vibration. When you decide what these things are, start to seek them in your life on a regular basis. Book that vacation, travel, move to a place, follow the joy in as many moments as you can! This will help you align more with your authentic true self and will help you have more space to feel more FREE.


MANTRA: TODAY I CHOOSE JOY


Step 9: BODY WORK. Receiving bodywork can be an essential part of healing and learning to free ourselves from emotional trauma and physical pain. Step 10: SELF EXPLORATION. Learning your body and loving it along the way is so important. Loving your body the way you wish a lover would has a profound impact on becoming comfortable with your body and all the incredible sensations. Speak beautiful words to each body part, look at your body in the mirror, tell it how loved it is...this is proven to help improve the appearance and feeling of your body! Love the skin you are in! It wants to love you back!
